IPTV freezing or buffering? Quick fixes that work
If your picture stops and starts, the cause is almost always in your home network or device. Work through these fixes from top to bottom.
Restart everything
Turn off your router, TV and streaming device for 30 seconds, then start them again. It clears memory and refreshes the connection.
Move from Wi-Fi to cable
Walls, microwaves and neighbours’ networks all interfere with Wi-Fi. A network cable is the single most effective fix.
Check what else uses the internet
Game downloads, cloud backups and video calls compete with your stream. Pause them while watching live events.
Clear the app cache
On Firestick and Android go to Settings › Applications › your IPTV app › Clear cache. Do this every few weeks.
Try another player or stream format
In TiviMate or Smarters Player, switch the video player or change the stream format between TS and HLS – one often works better on your device.
Lower the quality for a moment
If only 4K channels freeze, your connection may not keep up. Try the FHD version of the same channel.

Questions
Why does it only freeze in the evening?
Evening is peak internet time. A cable connection and fewer downloads at home usually solve it.
Will a VPN fix buffering?
Only if your internet provider slows down video traffic; otherwise it can make things slower.
